FOB battery maybe?

FOB battery maybe?
Howdy,
Based upon my search function efforts, I think I have figured out the problem; but I just want to make sure. 2009 RKC doesn't always turn over when I hit the ignition. The lights come on, the fuel pump does it's thing, the security lights blink (I have thought this might be a security system quirk...), and then I hit the start button...nothing. doesn't turn over, lights don't "dim."
I do this a couple of times and then she fires up.
Thoughts?
Thanks

but you did get an owners manual with the bike? if you did, it shows you how to retrieve the stored code, and reset it with something that means something to YOU...
after all, if you lose your fob out in bfe, you aren't gonna call the first owner to override it are you?

I have had mine not start a couple of times and wiggling the master on/off switch got it to work. Really high quality systems. I wouldn't put up with this in a new car, but it is ok cause it is a motorcycle and they are cheaper than cars ha! Just part of the experience, but I do still love it. Also won't start if tip over switch gets activated and you recycle the handle bar on off switch, but fuel pump won't run either if that is the problem.
