I had the dealer install V&H Big Shots and tune my 2011 Street-glide when I took it in for the 1k maintenance. I have about 2700 miles on it. I am noticing that when I down shift into 3rd or 2nd and coast to a stop it pops a couple of times. Sometimes during hard acceleration I will hear one pop. It is not a decel pop because I can fully release the throttle doing 70 MPH and it will not pop. The dealer said the problem is that the V&H Big-Shots are too narrow for this bike and I need wider pipes. I had the same pipes on my WG (boy I miss that sound) and did not have any issue. Was that because the pipes on the WG were much shorter? Is the dealer correct? Any thoughts?

Did you change the AC?

Did you add a fuel management or do a download?

Have you checked for exhaust leaks?

 

The Big Shots are too narrow........Give me a break. This guy is full of it.
I had them on my Fatboy, and I had a popping problem until I got it tuned.
A canned map isn't enough for those babies.

The dealer installed a new AC (air filter?).
I do not think he installed a fuel management. He gave me a race tuner thingy and told me that has all the tunning configuration for my bike.
How do I check for exhaust leaks?

I believe I had canned maps on my WG with Big-shots and had no issues, same size engines just shorter pipes..
