Should I buy 1999 Road King

...and another thing about "newer" bikes...ya, newer anything always has a nice feel to it, but ask yourself this...your on a big-bore Road King rolling down a 2 lane country road at 60mph, sun shining, 75 degrees, the deep throaty rumble of your finely tuned 95 inch humming across the farm fields as you glide by, right beside you is your buddy on a 2010 Road King...is HE having a "better" ride than you at that moment? HELL NO...you are both having the exact same awesome run...there IS no "better" Harley, than any other Harley...I would be insanely jealous if the guy next to me on that run was ridin a 58 Pan Hardtail...so newer isn't always "better"...heck, everytime I hear a pre EVO big-twin idle, I wish for an OLDER bike...but I'm a dying breed guess..
Anyway, sounds like a good deal on the RK. Echo what was said before. take it to an independent shop and have it looked over. Especially if you know who did the big bore kit. The FI on that year group was not the best, so I hope it is a Carb. Even if it is not, that price is pretty good anyway.

$6200 is about one year of payments on a new one. Do the math. Every year you can put about $2200 worth of bling on it & have $4000 left to take your significant other on a vacation. Not saying I would trick my wife like that. I 'm just saying. Can chain tensioner is nothing. Changing a rear drive belt is more costly. Rev
