Default What Size Clearview Windshield for Street Glide?

I'm 5' 11" and want to be able to see over the windshield on my Street Glide.

I'm considering either a Clearview 6.5" or 8" re-curve. Not looking for the ultimate in protection, just want to stop my glasses from shaking, and it would be nice to be able to hear my radio on the highway.

What size would you choose?

Clear, smoke, or dark tint?

Thanks

I went with 6.5 w curve. Had same problem with glasses rattling. Im same height as you. It stopped glasses rattling and kept the look of sg. If you want more wind protection get the 8.

Did the 6.5 re-curve allow you to hear the radio better?

The rule of thumb is that the top of the shield should be about nose high, if that helps to work out the right size.

If you use a shield at nose high you can comfortably see over it, but can also duck down (in rain eg) and want to see through it. You may also want to look down to see where your front wheel is going on say rough ground. A dark shield may as well be solid and you wont be able to see through it. If you use a lower shield it matters less if it is transparent.

I just put a 8" smoked recurve on my EGC. I'm 5'10" and can look over the shield. I like the smoked - looks good and I can see thru it if I need to duck down behind it. The recurve takes the air over my head.

I am also 5'11", no more buffeting of my glasses with this one (not clearview) - 125 mile trip back home after purchase showed me I made a good choice
