Paul Yaffe customer service

I actually met Paul, and got my picture taken with him, this last weekend. Apparently, unbeknownst to me, him and I enjoy some of the same hang-outs....
I will say that meeting him this time was alot better than the first time I met him. The first time I met him he was being a real jerk to everyone. It was about two or three years ago at a Bike Week event here in Arizona.
If you do ever meet him, ask him about how he keeps his wife from falling off of the back of his bike when she's had too much to drink.... Hint: It involves a bungee cord....hehe

Not a single apology in his response ! .... not a very professional take on all the people who have paid their $$$$$$ ..... so let me see! ... if he gets between 400 -500 calls a day and can only handle maybe 96 per person and 50 for the midget because he has two and a half salesmen i make that about 150 -250 wastin their money callin every day so maybe they try the next day so then that becomes 400 -500 +150 -250 from the day before so that becomes 750 minus 250 for that day leavin a surplus of 500 for the next day + 500 that's now a 1000 ....... Totally off the radar!... if you cant honor the order don't take it! ... close the order process until you catch up don't use the do you want Fast , Cheap or Awesome ... or you can take your business elsewhere answer that's just lacking respect !

Customer service and quality parts are above all what takes you to the top and keeps you there don't matter if it's a few $$$ more ..... people will pay for the complete service! so judging by his remark it would not be a loss to anyone if the other guys offering parts just took all his business ..... bigger fish than him have gone to the wall!

I think you guys are all being a little hard on the guy. He's being honest about a major problem he has with his business. If you root cause why he is in the position, it's probably because his products are popular and priced accordingly. They may be too expensive for some people, but that doesn't mean it's over priced for everyone. Obviously he has the demand, just needs to figure out how to get supply to catch up. It's not like he can just start pulling people off the street to answer the phone. These people are calling with questions that need to be answered by someone with knowledge of the product, bikes, etc. If I got anything out of the e-mail the DR posted it would be an admission there is a problem with his business and that he is frustrated people are not being handled the way he would like them to be.

Sounds to me like an arrogant response - this dude is full of himself - sit around and wait for "awesome"? Maybe he needs a good business manager who can forecast business demand and come up with creative solutions for handling items like this. He can hire some temps to answer calls etc. and have them on board/up and running in days. I know, I manage a business and we always get creative to meet our customer needs. The temps that prove themselves can get hired FT if demand keeps up - just sayin'. Not rocket science to figure out -
