Thanks for tips. Tried the JB weld and it seems to working.

I had two holes stripped in my old Road Glide thanks to a dealer.
I thought about fixing them with Helicoils but the molded boses did not look like they were large enough in dia. for the larger tap drill and STI tap.
I just used some larger sheet metal screws.

Great suggestion.

So HD sells a fix for this? Why am I not surprised. They do it half-assed to begin with, then charge extra for the piece it takes to make it right. And people wonder why everybody doesn't worship HD at every opportunity.
