Anyone that has spent enough time on there bike will know by the rpms what gear your in, 55 in 5th gear I'm pulling 2500 rpm and 70 or so in 6th I'm pulling another 2500 rpm. just some simple math and watching your gauges.

Yes I do. I am always in go head on forward. In my cages I am either in go head on forward or go head on backwards.

Anyway that is what a young fella from the Ozarks in the army back in the day told me.

I was trying to teach him how to shift a 4 speed manual in an Opal Ambulance. I asked him what gear he needed to put it in to start out.
