Gel seat or sheepskin leather?

there's a really great way to get a sheepskin cover. go to pep boys or auto zone, or wherever they sell top quality sheepskin seat covers for cars. there's plenty to make a huge seat cover for your bike. it's not hard to cut with good scissors to the shape you want and the hide side of the sheepskin sticks very well to your vinyl or leather seat. just remember to tuck it away when you're in the restaurant or at your stop so it doesn't blow off your seat while you're not riding. i think the last time i saw them on sale they were right at forty bucks. when you stop somewhere shake it out to re fluff the fibers.

I use a sheepsking all year round....90 minutes on a Sundowner??? That is short as the Sundowner is a good seat...Do you have a backrest? what about handle bars? are they the right ones...I can do 500 mil days on my bike and i have some medical issues...I use a Mustang seat "Butt" each *** is different...Sheepskin for sure though ...

Got Both and tried both
I have the AirHawk inflatable, a custom fit sheepskin, and my final is the stock seat rebuilt by MCC. My break down on each: The Airhawk is nice , but for me I feel like I lost connection with the bike, can't feel the ride. I bought the sheepskin last summer during a 4 day 1200 mile ride in 95 degree temp, it really helps with the hot crotch, but as mentioned it raises me about an inch. During the winter i sent mt factory seat to MCC for a upgrade, I don't remember which level right now but it was one of the upper choices. Haven't had a chance to ride yet so can't comment on it yet. I also took my sheepskin to a uphostery shop and he custom fitted it to my seat, using velcro and straps to secure it. Looks nice, will give it a try soon

I use the alaska leather sheep skin. keeps the seat nice and cool in the summer when you have to leave bike in the sun. On one trip I found my new seat was just not going to cut it after one day it almost had me crippled, I was able to stop at a walmart find some foam padding cut it with a knife and put it between the seat and sheep skin. Have to say it looked like **** but it saved the trip.

I got a sheepskin cover at this place when I was riding with my dad there last summer. It's great on road trips and doubles as a pillow when tent camping!

I use it with a locally modified stock seat and it works great for comfort and cooling.
