Default iPod Interfaces Loses Volume @ Times?

Sometimes, for some reason, my iPod interface just loses the ability to crank it out!

Most of the time it will blase the tunes. But I went on a ride yesterday, used the intercom and the CB so had the speakers off.

Today, when I crank the iPod up all the way, I can barely hear it.....

Anyone know what's up with that, or how to fix it consistently when it happens? I have tried undocking the iPod, cycling through the inputs, shutting off and restarting the radio, and this time it's giving me fits and doesn't seem to want to get back to blasting the tunes.....

Any suggestions?

What type of device are you using? That's a common issue with using an iPhone with the system. No one seems to have reported it when using a nano which is listed as the only fully supported device by the interface.

I normally plug my phone in after starting the bike. That seems to have stopped the volume issue.

I am using a Nano. Not sure what version it is. I think it's the previous version. In fact, it looks exactly like the ones I have seen that have the bar and shield on the back that HD was handing out with the new CVOs.

Another thing to check is that the wires are in the right place in the big connector on the radio. The original instructions were wrong on where to put certain wires.
