Default Performance VS Mileage MPG

Just finished adding 255 cams, true duals w/SE pipes baffles cut in half on my 07 ultra. Already had SE AC and PCV.
Was getting high 30s to 40 mpg running canned maps from Keith @ FM.
After some fun with the new found power looking for a little better mileage, last check I'm getting around 32.5.
Anyone who has similar setup would like to get some input on adjusting PCV w/o doing more harm than good.
Planning on taking it up to FM this summer but would like to tweak some till then

Bump up your timing a point in the cruise range of 2700-3250 rpm, at throttle position 10%-15% columns. Keep adding a point until you hear pinging, then back off a point. I'm running 4's in those cells.

I have an almost identical setup, only with Jackpot mufflers. My tune is now via Power Vision, but it is identical to the one tuned by the PCV-AT.

If your 32.5mpg is in city riding, I wouldn't be too concerned, but if it is purely highway mileage you can do better. Did you get a map update from FM? If not, you'll need to do that, but even then you may need to tweak it some if mileage is your primary concern. As for CigarCritic's suggestion to bump the timing, I was able to do that on my bike. I have given it 3° from 2-15% TP @ 1500-3000 rpm, 2° @ 20%, and 1° @ 40% TP. Using 93-octane E10 gas I get no detonation by going this far, but that's about the limit. If I go to 5° I get audible detonation, and Jamie at Fuel Moto suggested retarding 2° from audible ping. This will help mileage a tad, as well as improve cooling, but I doubt if it'll improve it noticeably. If you hear any detonation you'll need to tweak it back until it stops.

My city mileage is usually around 35-38mpg, while highway mileage is usually upper-40's at 55mph down to 45mpg at a steady 70mph.

Let me know what you have and under what conditions you're getting 32.5mpg. It may just be a matter of tweaking your cruise-range a bit.

Mileage is dependent on shift points, rate of acceleration to shift, timing, and most importantly from my experience how lean the AFR is, especially at cruising range. Iclick, how lean is yours at cruise? I was running 14.6, but dropping to 14.0 yields a 3-5 mpg decrease.

You live in Wisconsin, go over to Jaimes place and get a dyno tune and be done with it.
