I have a '05 FLHT that comes stock with Volt and Gas gauge and the two lower gauge housings are blanked out. I put a oil temperature gauge (Wally's) where Air gauge is on the Classic (left lower). I would like to put a oil pressure gauge on the right lower. I was wondering if the stock oil pressure gauge on the Classic is electric. If so I should be able to order one and hook it up with my preexisting wiring harness. (FLHT harness is the same, has hook ups for radio, etc etc) Anyone done this before?? Thanks in advance for any response.

Check with the dealer, but I am pretty sure you can just buy the gage and plug it in. It's an electrical gage if I'm not mistaken and the harness's on all the glides is the same in the batwing. Good luck.

I just put the gauge kit on my 05 and didn't used the sending unit for the oil pressure that came with it . I just hook the guage up to the supplied wiring to the unit already in the block and what do you know the oil gauge seems to be working along with the oil light on the dash. I don't know why they wanted the sending unit to be changed.
