Does anybody know if we are able to remove the glass of the gauge to "touch" the needle?

At this point my gauge with power off now rests on 1/8th of a tank. My idea, like a clock would be to manually move the needle back if possible???

Any ideas??????

I had the gauge on my 2002 Fatboy repaired 3 times under warranty. Now I don't pay attention to it. Just reset my trip Odo and watch the mileage.
