I made my saddle bag inserts from an old 33 rpm record album. The album is big enough to get four inserts, so you have some wiggle room incase one breaks

I fastened them on using a couple plastic nuts/bolts (mainly because I have a bad habit of changing my mind, so this will make that very easy)

Total cost was about $4.00 and some time

This is what I have they are a little pricey but very solid and include a strip for the lid.

I got mine from a member right here on this forum.
He made them from polished aluminum and used the double sided 3M tape to apply.
They have been in for several years now without any problem.( except I can't remember who it was)

I made mine out of plastic, painted them the off white on my FLHTP, stuck them in place with 3M 2 side emblem tape. Then moved the reflectors from their more rearward location and reinstalled them on my inserts. Very low cost. Lots of compliments. See my sig pic or album for pics.

American Harley in Leominster, MA made mine for $45. They are made of Black powder coat 3/16" Aluminium. I didn't like the standard ones they had in stock, so I asked if they could just put a HD bar and shield in the middle. They asked the machinist how much, same price, just got them back and put them on. Looks sweet, will post pict when I can figure it out.

Anyway the service guy is Chris if you like mine or have an idea and can fax them a drawing or point them to a picture.

Cheers!
