Default Might not need to change my header pipes

OK, here's what I've done to my 2011 FLHTCU with only 250 break in miles logged; Arlen Ness Big Sucker Stage 1, V&H Fuelpak (new model #61019), FL-ViED-10 enrichment devices (set at 14.1 AFR), H-D oil cooler and the H-D oil temp. gauge. Fuelpak map is #4197 based on these mods and my first test ride revealed a minor and infrequent hiccup coming of idle. V&H Tech Support had me change modes 1 to 5, 2 to 5, 8 to 15 and 9 to 10.

Took a second 35 mile ride yesterday with air temps. about 55-60 F., engine revs. kept below 3000 RPM and speeds of 25-60 mph. Hiccup is gone, oil temp stayed about 215-220F until I stopped in a road construction back-up for about 10 min. Engine temp. rose to 230-240F.,but did not go higher and settled back down once I got moving. Never felt any excessive heat from the exhaust even when stopped!

I know the real test will be an 80-90 degree summer day with some longer, harder riding, but I'm thinking that going to a cat-less set of pipes might not be absolutely necessary. I like the 2011 exhaust sound and agree that H-D made some improvements here so I'm not looking to go louder! Also, it's hard to tell exactly what the actual oil temp. is with the H-D gauge temp. markings!

No mileage data yet and I still might do a pipes/exhaust upgrade for performance reasons, but right now I'm happy with these results!

Please keep us up to date as said by hmt...I'm thinking of keeping the stocker header pipe as well as the sound level is just about right. I may go with the SE 65110 pipes as I like the looks and by accounts give it a deeper not louder tone

I read in a post you made about adding the new FuelPak (#61019) and that you had the L-ViED-10, also. I'm thinking about the new FuelPak and already have the L-ViED-10 installed. I called V&H today and they told me the #61019 didn't use the O2 sensors. How did you get around that?? Also, did you get a MAP from V&H that you were happy with?
