Default MasterTune TTS rocks!

Just got my '09 RK back from a great indy here in town.

Sorry - But I gave-up on the PC-V and decided to go with this unit that these builders swear-by (superb reputation for high performance builds in the region). IN particular for guys who plan on really building this engine over time (like me), it is just what the doctor ordered. Yeah, everyone has their favorite...but I see why my tuner likes it.

Just saying I never knew this thing could run SO flippin great! No detonation/pinging and generally never feeling "quite right".

Not exactly blowing me off the bike, but it just runs a LOT better...finally.

Old Max Torque = 77.08
New Max Torque = 91.19

Old Max Power = 67.73
New Max Power = 77.50

Gonna sell my PC-V as fast as I can get it photographed and pic posted. It has less than 1,000 miles on it.

Have fun...

I agree about the TTS being tops, but it is the one using the tool that has to make it work.

For sure!! Ya can see how far it got me trying to use the easy way out with the plug-n-play DynoJet on my own. The boys over at Speedwrench make it happen. Looking forward to the Fall when I get into big-bore, cams, etc etc.

Reminds me...I need to go post that PC-V.

I got rid of my power commander and went with tts. Just had it dynoed this week and my 103 made 100 hp and 106 ft lb torque on mostly stock heads and mild cams.It never ran this smooth.

With gains like that, was the PCV even connected correctly?

Yeah - Ya'd think right? NOPE - The "before" numbers are WITH the PC-V (with the map sent with the unit from the guys at FM).

I even called the shop 10 seconds ago just to be sure.

Does the TTS replace the stock ECM?

It does not replace it but does allow the expert tuner to completely re-program the stock ECM. So rather than a plug-n-play unit containing a pre-loaded map, the tuner dials-in things actually re-programming things (it does allow you to save the stock/previous configs though).

That's the best my limited expertise can explain. I am sure there are more expert guys around here.

I just know that this builder came ultra-highly recommended and they swear by this unit ESPECIALLY if you plan on going beyond the "basics".

You think a dyno tune bike is a comparison to a canned map?

Is that a REAL question or are you just picking apart the way I answered the question?

Of course not.
