Road King Owners...what did you replace your stock windshield with?
#21
Got the 17 in. light tint...... I look over the shield and No buffeting for me... I am 5 10.
I do get what I call "Clean Air" on me. I think this is the wind that comes from the
sides and bottom, but does NOT move me around or make me in any way uncomfortable.
I do like my RKC and i have EGC. Its different and rides a handles different. I like both
bikes, but the RKC is the bike for short to medium 50 to 250 mile trips and I take the EGC for more protection on bad weather days and 300+ miles and major touring...........................hdman

Port Dawg; finialy got out this afternoon with the 18.5 clearview w/flip.
Worked realy well. I wear a ball cap and with the stock shield the wind would come in
behind me and take my cap off.
With this shield everything works good.
Now for my wife. We had to have a long discusion about the wind coming over me and the cross wind. Finialy figured out the wind coming over my head was no problem.
I'm 6' and just seeing over the shield by about 1/2". Would have liked a bit more to see over but it's all good.

Get yourself a set of 18 inch Apes and have a custom shop cut a piece of plexi glass to fit between the bars, do an oval top drill a couple of holes on each side close to the bars, use zip ties to hold in place, snip the excess and your done....cant even tell it is there....wind is gone...works great & looks good!
