RE: Roadking vs, Roadglide
Of course everyone knows how I feel about roadglides, but the King, Classic, Ultra and Roadglide are all sweet rides. I always had the batwing fairing ultra prior to buying my shark nose roadglide. I won't go back. Ride them all and go with your gut. There are several bikes on this forum that really stand out for being very different. I get a lot of comments on my roadglide but I find myself looking at Sincecracy's and Apeking's Roadkings.

RE: Roadking vs, Roadglide
On another thread, I was talking about a RG "flirting" with me. Got me to thinking about how much muttersickles are like women. (or men if you're a woman or???)
All different sizes and shapes, different hair styles/colors, different skin types, definitely different personalities. Sometimes we look to one and say "Wow, that's really nice" and think we might want her/it. Hell, we're always falling in love or lust.
I have a friend who lives a rather simple life by most of our standards. Lives in a remote part of Alaska and custom builds guitars. He has a waiting list to get on his waiting list. He could easily double his prices and still get plenty of work, but refuses to. He wants to keep them available to the "average person" His motto is to "learn to like what you have and not worry about what you don't have." Sounds kind of Zen for an Alaskan, but I think there's a lot of truth.
Regardless of what we on this forum ride, there are people who wish they had one...and at one point "we" was one of those people.
A much younger guy was talking with me one day and said, Well I think my wife's the most beautiful woman in the world, just like you think your wife is the most beautiful." Well, I'm old enough to be honest. I said, "No, your wife is prettier by far, but I'd still rather be married to mine."
Today we celebrate Liberty, Freedom and the Birth of our Nation. I will also celebrate my wife and my bike and tell them both (in different ways) that I love them.
(Besides the local bar (Harley Dealer) is closed.
Keep your dreams, but enjoy what you have and realize it might just be the very best. Art

The Road Glide is the best looking Harley hands down. EVERYONE has a fuggin Road King and I mean everyone.
To say the R.G. is the best looking bike is nothing more than a matter of opinion, I for one cant stand the look of the shark nose, A buddy of mine had a R.G. sweet ride? Yes, sweet looks? Hell no, To me the fairing looks like it belongs on a Kawasaki or something. I agree that many people ride the Road King, but maybe that says something for the bike. Just a matter of opinion. I went to trade in my springer on a new E.G. standard, came home with the Road King, I put on a fair amount of miles, so a touring bike was a must, however I decided on the R.K. for the simple fact that a radio wasnt important to me and I like the fact I can pull the windshield and make it look like a totally new bike all together, Also There are some companies out there that make fairings for the R.K. that look almost identical to the e.g. fairing. Go with you heart, but it sounds to me that you like your bike alot, why fix what aint broke? The grass aint always greener on the other side, and a paid off bike is always the best bike!!!!
