Default Inspection Sticker Placement

I'm getting ready to take delivery on my new 2011 road king at the end of the week. My question is...for those of you in states (I'm in Virginia) that require inspection stickers on your bikes; where are you putting them. My night train has a chrome plate attached in the front bottom area of the frame. I'd like to find a place that is NOT real noticable. I think they look like crap. So where do those with inspection sticker plates on road kings have them attched to your bike? Pictures would be great. Thanks.

Most states require that the sticker be mounted on a non-removeable part such as the fork or the frame. Despite that I have a small plate attached to the left side crash bar mount near my left foot. Some inspectors are so paranoid they won't put it there. Ask some indy shops for the plate and if your dealer is paranoid get it inspected at the indy.

Where are you buying it from? If it's a VA dealer ask them to place it on one of those chrome plates for free. I've seen them on the bottom frame and front fork, I prefer the frame.

Buying in Maryland but inspecting in Virginia where I live. Maryland does not require inspection, and therefore no sticker.

Any suggestions on inconspiuous placementof the inspection sticker plate on a 2011 Road King? I refuse to put it on any permanent part of the bike, i.e. fork. I'd rather not even have it be very visable. Thanks for your advice.

Used to have one of those plates on my Fatboy. With the RK, I just stuck it on the frame. No one notices and inspection sticker when they look at a Harley.....Unless the dumbass stuck it on your fork.

Here in MS, they just give you the sticker. So, I put it in a zip lock bag in my saddlebag along with my registration and insurance info. I figure the only time I will need to show it would be the same time I'd need to show my insurance and registration info.

But of course, MS is very lax about those laws.

I have a plate on the left side, bottom, where the crash bar mounts. Never a problem from John E. Law with it there either.

I used to put it inside my hard bags and I know that is a removable part of the bike but no way in hell I was gonna put it anywhere on my bike. I finally got around to buying a chrome plate to put the sticker on and the next year NC did away with stickers. If you are interested in the plate (still in package) PM me for a good deal.

Mine is on a metal plate bolted to the frame at the rear of the primary cover. Came from the dealer that way.
