Default '11 street glide tail lights

The guys I ride with complain they cant see me hit the brakes in the sun light. need to fix this before I get run over. I'm sure there are few options for the '11 SG. Since it no longer has the box light in the middle.

Seen something from custom dynamics, not sure what it is or how well they work. Sure hope some one has done this upgrade and can help me out .

swap your tri light at the bottom from a running light to a run/brake light. its just a plug and play. also, the plasma rods from custom dynamics are really nice and a easy mod. do a search foe plasma rods. some really good write ups. good luck.

Thanks for the input, I like the clean look of the 2011 SG , dont want to alter that very much. You mentioned the plasma rods. I looked at those they do look bright. Also seen their led turn, run, brake that looks decent but would like to hear from someone who has used them.

by swapping the tri bar light for a rtb module, you will not be altering the looks of the bike any. it's a quick and easy plug and play deal. thats what i use and i have been told that it is pretty obvious when i hit the breaks.

I think I want one of those myself. So it's super easy, huh? That's good, because I don't have a lift and alot of other tools (or "know how") to do TOO much. LOL

I'll probably go that route at some point.

More info on the "rtb module"

I have got many comments on my 2010 as to how bright the brake lights are. I also like the way it looks with out the box light on back.

If ya don't mind me asking, where are you from anyway? I'm originally from Herrin, but live up near St. Louis now.

H-D part number #67774-10 is a direct replacement for the original tri-bar, and it works as a brake light. It's plug and play.

For what it's worth, was really disappointed that the factory unit didn't do this...
