Test Road Road Glide - Wind Buffeting Advise..
#13
During the cold months I ride with a full 16" clear shield. Its not cool looking but it keeps me warm. During warmer months I switch to an 8" black translucent shield. It looks very sporty and cool on the Roadglide. I'm 6' 2" and the wind over this shield hits me just about eye level. I may need one a little taller. They are cheap on e-bay for less than $50.00

Attached is the 14" Windvest on my 2011 FLTRX and it's the lowest I can go without having the wind throwing my girlfriend's head around. I'm 5'10-11 and just see over the shield. It's a little bit too high.
Sadly, the coolness factor is gone when it comes to comfort vs. style on a Road Glide. At times, I regret buying it and wish I would have kept my 2008 FLHX.
The bars are 2011 Road Glide CVO. Once I add lowers, I should have the wind under control.

Seriously now, for OP, don't just look into taller w/s - buffeting comes from under fairing (+ fork baffle & wings) and legs (+ lowers). For me it tool a combination of all three (baffle, wings & lowers) to stop...good luck!

I'm 6'5" and the buffering was unbearable above 70 mph so I installed a Klockwerks 16" tinted flare windshield, front fork air baffle and vented lowers. Now I can ride on the super slab all day long. Not exactly the look I was originally going for but in this case, comfort was more important than style. If my tourer isn't roadworthy then what's the point, might as well get a chopper.

Humm...Not the case here. Although for me it doesn't stop "wind". It stops the wa-ba-wa-ba-baaa of the air coming over the top of the windshield.
Your 14" Windvest looks pretty good! I like my 12 but at times I wish I had the 14... and admittedly I sometimes wish for my Ultra back too. Especially after 600 miles with the wind hitting my knees and coming back up and hitting me about the waist, neck, chest, and head.

Some people never even get the "Buffeting" so they confuse the wind for "Buffeting" of your head. Me... had it and it sucked! I threw on the $30 plastics on between the fairing and the forks and gone. 30 seconds and 30 dollars. Best time and money spent. Here is a bigger view of my 12" KW (same as my signature but I know with the lighting it's hard to see). I also run the 8.5" KW with is more streamlined and yes i get wind but still no "Buffeting".
The lowers and stuff... they block the wind. I'm sure they would possibly help the "Buffeting" issues. But i didn't have them when i put the deflectors on. So here's another "they worked for me" story.
