If you need the tq go for it. If your thinkin its gonna be fast, think again. Personally i think they are over rated and over priced. I have a couple of friends with 2010 SE Ultras and they are a little disappointed.

I bought the 2011 Road Glide Ultra after test riding the 103 all-day. Nice!!! Decided to have the dealership put the 110 big bore kit in the 103 along with the SE breather and V&H Twin Slash pipes. Best decision I ever made. The 110 hasn't even broken a sweat and laughs at everything I throw at it. If I ever get its attention I'll jump back on the forum.

I think most of those 110 problems were with the 2007 and early 2008 CVOs. The 2009 and later seem to be mostly problem free.

There lies a simple solution to why there are so many bad reviews posted on the 110, and it is as always, for example if you go out to dinner and everything is great, you might tell one or two people, BUT if it sucked you tell everyone you can.

My 2007 FXDSE had zero engine problems (not even the dreaded oil leak, and never had the recall work done on it), there was a problem with the six speed transmission, it would not fully engage in third gear and would jump back into second (but only if I was really on it,...WTFO), a minor problem with the hydraulic clutch (which my indy fixed), and the throttle cable broke (but that is normal wear). Overall it was a great bike, plenty of power after all of the upgrades, and it definitely needed cams, the stock cams were ok, but to produce the mid range power I wanted they sucked.

Now if you are considering the 110 for power alone, look at the Screamin Eagle 120R. I have heard that they are power producing monsters.
