What's a fair asking price for this bike?
#11
Thanks guys. I really appreciate the feedback. I'd like to get as much as is fair, but at the same time I don't want a lot of tire-kickers coming to the house and haggling with me.
I think I will list her for $8000 (with all the "off-bike" parts included) and entertain offers. If there are no offers, I will drop it to a firm $7500 and sell all of the "off-bike" parts separately.
Its tough to let her go, but the new bike helps to soften the blow. She was my first HD. I've sold other bikes in the past, but this one is tough because getting my first HD was something I wanted since I was a little kid. The cold reality is I can't keep insuring a bike I won't be riding ($1400 last year), and there's no room in the garage. Someone else will love her as much as I did.
