V&H - FuelPack
I installed the FuelPack, based on the instructions, pulled the latest settings off your internet site, entered the numbers, shut everything off, re-checked the numbers, everything seemed normal, the bike fired right up, I went for a 15 miles test ride, no problems. The bike accelerated normally, I hit the free way, and I rolled through the gears, up to maybe 70 MPH, all seemed normal. The bike accelerated, and decelerated as expected, it sounded good, no deceleration poping, I let it cool off for maybe 30 minutes then went for a second ride.
I rode maybe 2 miles on side streets, topping out at 40 MPH, all seemed normal. I started to pull out onto the Freeway, since the first ride went well, I wanted to test hitting the gas much harder on the Freeway on ramp. I nailed the throttle hard, and it felt like the throttle cable broke, (I have a throttle by wire bike, details below, that best describes what happened and how the bike felt) I twisted the throttle a little acceleration, maybe 500 RFM, and then nothing, I could not rev the engine. I tried again to accelerate, and the engine would not pick up speed. The check engine light came on. I more or less coasted to a stop. The engine never died, just acted like an engine with a broken throttle cable. I pulled to the side of the road, turned the bike off, then started it back up, still the same thing, I could not rev engine. I shut it off again, thinking I’d need to pull the main fuse, and reset everything, so I may have waited 15 seconds, but thought I’d try re-start the bike. It started, and the throttle worked like normal. I rode back home at a pace much like my first test ride and the bike ran fine. I assume nailing hard would make the same think occur again.
I sent an email to V&H, anyone else had a similar problem? If yes how did you fix it.

I've got a FP on my bike, and not experienced what you have reported. I can nail mine and it responds immediately and with force. Almost sounds like something is loose in your TBW...did you take a look at your connection there?
If it happens again, disconnect the FP from the ECM and try your series of tests again. That should give you a clear indication whether the FP may be the cause of your problems.
