Ok this might be a long winded post but I gottsta explain. LOL!! Those of you with police bike will empathize. I kept the stock police hard bags on mine. Now I've stripped off the inserts on both the lids and the bags themselves. On the bags I put flat black inserts in place and a willie g nickel skull with wings badge on top of em. Fits like a glove. But there's always been that thin strip on the lid with the 5 small holes that I had no idea what to do with. Until the other day. My previous bike was a Honda Shadow that I spiked and skulled the **** out of it. My Harley I told myself I wasn't going to do that. (yeah right LOL). Anywho I had a couple 1/2 inch tree spikes left over with screw backs. So I thought what the hell. I fit one in the hole on the lid and it was perfect. So I ordered more 1/2 inchers and finished it off. 5 holes on both lids 10 total. What made me happy is that they're only 1/2 inch so they're not big ole gaudy things. Pretty dern happy. Looks good to me. :-)

Ordered a new JVC deck to replace my fine working Kenwood. Hoping this unit with multiple display lighting colors/brightness levels will allow me to see it better during the day ....

This weekend I installed the Freedom Shield 10" grey tint wind shield. It was a nice addition from the stock one. It was an easy install and the guys at Freedom Shield were nice to deal with. I decided to get it but didn't want to wait for shipping. I found several dealers locally and didn't have to pay high shipping costs. Awesome product (No affiliation, etc).

Yesterday, I put the ***** G skull derby cover on, a windshield bag(I liked the Heritage design better than the Road King) and the browed headlight trim ring(and yea, I have a 1/4 inch gap at the bottom) when the rest comes in, a Road King shift link with the Heim joints.

What did you do to your bagger today?
I rode it! Finally after four months of the bike being in the shop for collision repair and letting my broken ankle heal.

It looks better than ever.

I'm pretty happy about it, don't I look it?
