Cool 850-1 Lifters

How much preload did you put on those lifters? Do you remember how many flats or turns with the SE pushrods?

Default Never?

Hmmmm, I worked in Corsicana (south of Dal/FW) a few years ago and saw two inches of ice on the ground. I'm thinking you were the one tooling down 45 rocking the studs? Haha, rode the following weekend though....

Cool That was Me !

That was Me, Damn I was hoping that you didn't notice! Actually it was 53 down, I was trying to make a 510 into a 635! HA-HA ! The 850-1 lifter has an extended piston, just thought you might know the travel distance with out me having to measure, but I guess not. Thanks for the insight!!!

The Ultra I just bought came with 944's. The PO was either really heavy, or always rode two up. The preload is set so high for my 200 lbs, it feels almost like a rigid. I know little about them, so guess I need to find someone who knows proper adjustments for them too.

Shame we're a thousand miles apart, or we could figure them out together. tp

  2. Saddlebag and tour pack interior lights
  3. Flashed the passing lamps to stay on with high beam
  4. Replaced OEM clutch and front brake reservoirs with chrome units
  5. Replaced shifter lever and rear brake lever with slotted units
  6. Replaced clutch and front brake levers with slotted units
  7. 5,000 mile tune up.
