Washed and detailed it from the 3,100 mile Sturgis ride. Found several fasteners lose. Three of the four allen bolts in the front of the saddle bag guard rails were lose. The right hand lower bolt was loose. Noticed these when washing. That is a side benefit of a wash job. The critical fasteners get checked at each service. But the other stuff can be found when cleaning the bike.

Well now that I know that a RK is a bagger let's see.....the tubing coming out of the head breather ports inside the airbox is not held in place and with time will slip off the port causing oil to drip down the side of my engine (Really hate that). I rigged a clamp out of thick wire to compress it passed the nipple so it cant work it's way off. Small but needed.

Rode it. Why not just ride em'? I find the flaws when I clean it which is way too often. I am however grateful for the Pledge suggestion I read oh so long ago.... Pledge ROCKS!!!!! 634th post to this thread. Ya think I will unsubscribe to this in the AM???

Thumbs up Cha Cha Cha Cha Changes..

Well that song just popped into my head... anyway I changed my stock head pipes to V&H Dresser Duals. Much cooler right side temps and really wanted the dual sound. I anticipated the volume getting louder with the fishtails and that they did. Perhaps a little too loud for my liking, and also ended up with a chatter I didn't care for. I had previously tried the "Quiet Baffles" and really didn't feel like taking the time to re-install them again so I took the easy route and installed another set of muffs I ordered just in case....Monster Rounds. Oh Yeah!!! I'm really liking this sound...nice deep rumble with a growl when you twist it and I can feel the vibration of the separate exhausts too.
