Didn't actually do it today, but I installed a "security system" on the FLHT. Bought a red flashing LED and mounted it in a hole I drilled in the inner fairing between the tach and the speedometer. (see photo) Built a circuit to provide the proper voltage and hid a waterproof switch near the bottom of the inner fairing. It blinks off and on about once per second. It doesn't actually do anything other than that, but it looks like a real security system indicator.

Does it deter theft? Well, nobody has stolen my bike so far.

3 hour ride with the wife and then took it all apart for a top to bottom clean, wax and leather treatment. I checked all the nuts and bolt, tire pressure and fluids as we are going MC camping for 5 days next week. Should be about a 1000 mile trip so she is ready to go.

I did add the amp and 6.5s in the fairing. sounds really good to me even at highway speeds. the stuff is a little pricey, but that's HD. did the install myself and the dealer flashed the radio for free.

I left 7:30am and got back home by midnite on my 12 SG SOLO. Left Long Island, NY and rode thru Catskills Mtn to Binghamton, NY then to Pocono Mtn, Pa area and back home to Amityville, NY. So I did 541 miles and my scoot didn't skip a beat. What did I do to my Bagger today? Rode the hell out of it!!!
