Blackout!
Took way more than a day, even more than the 2-3 weeks I planned. In the end it took just over five weeks to strip off the majority of the chome on my Street Glide and have it powder coated satin black. A great deal of the extra time was me staring at the bike and waiting for it to magically reassemble itself like Christine from the Steven King book.
This is far and away the most in depth project I've attempted. I love Harley-Davidson but after this I curse all MoCo engineers. Pick a fasterner style and stick to it for Christ's sake. In the end I know a great deal more about my bike and it is truly mine.

FuelMoto 107 Kit with TW555 cams and I decided to black out the engine and front end including the light bar and spot lights. I have not decided what to do for the heat shields and intake yet.

To follow up Jaymiller's mod.... I added new LED tail lights from Custom dynamics...
It literally took longer to open the box, packaging, and clean up the packing peanuts, than it did to instal the plug and play LED lights. I have a set of these lights on my wife's FLS slim and they are Great!! If you are looking to increase your visibility and not kill the look of the bike check out the Custom Dynamics Led Kits.
