I took the week off to get the parts painted. I spent 9 hours today color sanding and polishing the paint, which is a 10-step process. If you ever wondered why a custom paint job costs so much, I can tell you!

Reassembly will start tomorrow.
I finished putting her back together today and took her for a short maiden voyage to get gasoline. Started up easily, ran great. The bike looks awesome and I got a nice compliment at the gas pumps. I hope to get her into the upholstery shop this week to get a saddle modified. Then she'll be complete.

finished buttoning up from the LA chopper hb install.
Installed the Kuryakyn bullet signals/license plate holder and smoke laydown taillight lens,
then installed the tourpak detach kit. I have some molex connectors on the way to customize the harness to relieve the need to roll up a bunch of wire under the seat.

Now to find a seat that looks good without the pak on...been watching for a nice oem SG seat or a good after market solo...
I also took some rubbing compound and the buffer to the fairing to get out some swirl marks left by the PO.

Just installed a set of Bobby's FULL METAL JACKET tour pack bushings on my 03 EG. They were a perfect fit and there's little doubt they will outlast the stock plastic pieces from HD. The slop and rattles that I have been chasing are pretty much gone. Bobby was a delight to work with and responded quickly to a few questions I had.

If you're having problems with the old plastic bushings on your tour pack I suggest you check out these bushings at:
