I gave my bike a long needed bath the other day. Today it got pooped on by birds while I was eating breakfast with my buddies and then it got rained on after I cleaned the poop off.

I'm never gonna wash my bike again.

Put a Tour Pak on the King today, now I need to find a wiring harness to get the lights going.

 

I added a new stereo system to my Road King. A nice Kenwood AM/FM/CD/USB/3.5mm plug for ipod and speakers from MHI. The speakers are 200 watt JVC. I installed an antenna that goes on an Ultra. Mounted right up. The stereo mounts on the handlebars as do the speakers.
I will take photos tomorrow and post them.

 

Finally got around to installing the Fullsac 2" cores last night...Not too many photos as there are videos and excellent install instructions for these in many places. Very easy install.

That's tight! And it's just the front two speakers, correct? How does it sound at or above 60MPH?

 

I have had it up to 70 so far and it sounds real good. Understand this, I have the Rush Big Louie mufflers on the Road King so it is a bit of a rumble around town. On highway when the pipes go low on me, I need to turn the stereo down a little.
I tried another windshield mounted radio, but when it came in, I found that you need to drill holes and there were no metal backing strip in the fiberglass to bolt to and you only mounted to the three horizontal screws on windshield. It cost me $55 to receive and return that unit. If I had been told how the mounting was, I would not have ordered it. This unit is a solid chrome box that the radio slides into and the trim ring and face plate go in front. Mounted to handlebars, it is solid. It came with the speakers mounted on flat bars connected to the radio box, but I did not care for the bouncing of speakers so I bought two handlebar brackets from MHI and reconnected wires and mounted to the bar. Much more solid. you can also order it that way if you prefer. Just need to let Tommy know what length wires you need to mount to handlebars. Tommy is a great guy to deal with. I emailed and chatted on phone with him several times.
