What did you do to your bagger today?

I tightened all the oil pan bolts after wiping down most of the oily mess the bottom of the motor became. The frame's "cradle" makes it tough to get in and clean everything well, especially when it's on the side-stand! Add the primary, the exhaust...ugh, what a PITA!! Also, it's awesome to note that 11 of the 12 oil pan bolts were loose...hopefully this endeavor solves the oil leak I was chasing. BTW, the exhaust mount bolts under the transmission/clutch cover were tight- this time (when the dealer replaced the brake light switch under warranty, they ended up being loose enough that one fell out!).
Next up- removal of the Truck Lite Phase 7 light and installation of the Dual Halogen headlamp that's on order. After the ride back home from Northville, NY to Watervliet, NY, it became unbelievably clear to me that LED headlamps are NOT ready for Motorcycle Prime Time just yet (perhaps on a sharknose...). On a real dark and winding road, I nearly missed a turn because I couldn't see how sharp it was: the light beam just focuses straight and sheds NO light 'around' to see a turn. That headlight also adds to my personal dislike because it causes EVERY street/road sign to be dazzlingly bright, yet the road isn't lit up enough for my liking. The Phase 7 and the LED inserts in my Kuryakyn driving light kit just aren't cutting it for me. I might add PIAA Xenon-White bulbs to the Headlamp (55W=110W they claim for Low, 65W=120W High); that should brighten my nights!

Rode it to Prescott Valley where it sat parked while I stood in the Flag line at the memorial for the 19 fallen firefighters.
But I did come back over Mingus Mtn on the way home. Now it needs washed again.
