What did you do to your bagger today?
That looks fantastic Brandon! I guess the 2,000 grit did the trick for you? I was able to remove all those marks I was concerned about on my left fork. Thanks to you and the internet. Starting my right side today.

You might want to look into a quality clear to put on them. They can pack auto motive paints into spray cans these days, I just checked at my local O'Rielys. I would get a single stage clear, should be a tough finish. I may polish my lowers up some year.

For durability and to keep that shine without the effort of routine polishing, look into clear powder coat.

Just finished my second fork. I’ll pick up some clear when I can. And some 3M film.
Now to start the rebuild and fork kit install!

On my ride today noticed that I've lost my left signal, pulled the code B2141. Pulled the fairing off and left signal off of it, socket housing; under it was a crap ton of oxidation, so cleaned it all up, plugged it back and it works. Put it all back together and it works Won't miss my new year's ride

I got tired of searching for a decent flag mount, as well as the sticker shock associated with even the cheapest of Chinesium models, so I mocked up my own.
I only want to run a single flag, and if it wouldn’t bugger up my paint and/or rear fender, I would just run it into the pillion nut, but I don’t trust that approach for more than maybe a display bike… certainly nothing that goes on the freeway.
The luggage rack seemed like a solid place to secure one, but w/ the tubes being 5/8” diameter, none of the mounts I could find would really work, as they would be offset to the side and I wanted centered.
This is the mock-up of my solution.
4 aluminum hose clamps and a piece of 1/4” thick bar stock later and I have this. I’ll likely mount it above the bars or make a cover that hides the clamps a bit, but this is SOLID. The 2 outer holes will allow me to swap over to a pair of flags on the same bracket if I choose.

I finished my right fork. Rebuilt with the PA kit and polished. I already reinstalled my left fork yesterday.
