This is now my secod set of AEs on this bike. I was running 36-40 front and rear on first set and they started cupping. Local Indie said he advises running at least 38 front and 42 rear. Thats what I run this set at and wear is perfect. Has not negatively affected my ride or handling at all.

I respect your commitment though!
I don’t know what it is. I just don’t like other people doing maintenance on my stuff. Plus it gives me time in my garage away from my wife.

I use Ebay stuff every once in a while... My fender was painted by The Factory Match. I believe OscarN spray can painted his Road Glide front fender...

Started the process of replacing broken drive belt on the Road King. I might go to a narrow belt/rear sprocket to allow a 150 rear tire in the future. Any opinions/advice on going from 1 1/2" to 1 1/8 or even 1" belt?

Pretty clean inside for a 22 year old bike. Looks like shifter shaft seal seeping and maybe the stator wire grommet. All bearings/bushings look good so far.

Boy what a difference between the parts incased in oil, and those exposed to the elements. Seems life would have been a lot simpler if HD had just put the drive system on the right side.

I puhtzed around with the mirror head that’s a bit sloppy.
I figure I can’t hurt what doesn’t work, so I used a spring-loaded center punch and dimpled the hell out of the ball to increase the friction inside the mirror head.
This was actually Round 2 w/ the dimples… I wasn’t as easy on it this time. That ball end now looks more like the moon.
To top it off, I added a thin bead of clear E6000 in that joint.
Im hoping it works… or I’ll be on the hunt for a new pair sooner than expected.

Getting prepped and ready to do the same job, only on my Dyna!
