Hi FL_Moto
I'd really like to hear your thoughts or impressions on the Pro Action fork kit. I'm leaning this way for my 16SGS. I guess you haven't gotten a ride in yet but maybe after you do you could post a message. I have to call in my order to receive a military discount. I also have to order a 12mm long stem allen and 19mm allen for the teardown. Plus fork oil and new cap o-rings etc, etc. I plan on wet sanding and polishing my lowers while they are removed.
I've researched the heck out of Pro-Action fork kits, DK Custom Products springs and intiminator valves, and Race Tech springs and gold valves. I'm pretty much sold on the Pro-Action kit. I know the intiminator is supposed to provide the best all around suspension feel but I don't like the idea of running thinner oil and over riding the damper rod altogether. I also can't justify the cost of Legends or Ohlins cartridges so that is a no go.

@Cornpipe I was able to get out for a couple of hours this morning and very happy with the Pro Action kit.

As everyone notes, much less nose dive under braking. Definitely more planted in the turns and still very compliant overall. The only downside is the more apparent shortcomings of the stock rear shocks, so that will be the next upgrade once I get through the holidays.

Don't know what comes stock on the '21s but my '14s air shocks were horrible. I got a set of OEM HD "premium" hand adjustable, and they made a big difference. At 175lbs the only way I get any sag is running zero preload. I started with recommended 2 full turns, and was still a bit harsh. Zero preload gives me a little sag and much better ride.

@FL-Moto
Thanks for the reply and you affirmed what all the other happy owners of the Pro-Action fork kits are saying. I'm placing my order tomorrow when they open.

Nice pic is that your driveway?

No, not my gate. I passed this ranch while out for a ride and thought it would make a great backdrop for a photo of the bike.

Absolutely but I wouldn't want the property tax bill that goes with it or the mortgage payment.😆
