(2" DK tank lift, front only) Instantly could tell the heat difference in the Louisiana 95 to 105° summer heat! With front lift only, tank can be moved forward or backwards as rear attachment is slotted. I like the tight fwd look. Most like the look while sitting on bike even better than side view. Fuel range did not change at all.

Will definitely make your emblems run uphill. Thinking about going back to original emblems (but straight of course).

Amazon... I have the 1-in on my street glide and one and a half inch on my softail. These are much cheaper than others yet they are heavy and well constructed. Easy install. I took the rubber boot covers and trimmed the back lip so they fit in the new positions. Then I used some Chrome caps that you get at the hardware store to cover the lower bolts. They just snap right on and they're made of aluminum. I had to tilt my bars about a quarter inch forward as they were very close to the tank at full turn on the SG. I like them for air flow, they expose The Rocker covers a little bit more and make it easier to get in there and clean them up. They fit without a problem on my 19 sg but I had to enlarge the lower holes for my 06 Softail as it has the older single bolt front tank mount which had a little larger diameter bolt.

Can you tell by the heat you feel on your legs or just by watching the engine temps, and does this help a lot at lower speeds as well? I get a lot of heat on my legs if I'm riding at slower (City) speeds, maybe I should look at doing this?

Over the past few days I did a 3 hole oil and filter change on all 3 bikes. I found a great deal on Bel-Ray oil change kits on Fleabay. You get 4 qts semi-syn 20w50, 1 qt of tranny, 1 qt of primary, and a hi-flo filter for $80.00 with free shipping. I use the HD service kit which has the drain plug o-rings and derby cover gasket in one package.

Having the filter relocation kits is a big savings.

A lot of people dissable the EITMS (shutting off rear cylinder @ +300) as it is said that is only for rider comfort and cooling of the rear exhaust.
I keep it as a hot indicator, and very often will very lightly flick the throttle every couple seconds to prevent it from initiating after Ib1st hear it.

The EIMTS was comming on about 70% of the time in the Louisiana summer day or night.

After tank lift it probably dropped to below 40% and almost never @ night or cooler days unless hammering on it. Actually doesn't come on much more than my old Heritage stock M8 107 did (now 128" RK).

I have never felt heat from bike on legs or body, but I am running the V&H Propipe.

Do you have the CAT in your header still?
