While it’s not as exciting as polishing and riding (even to work!), I painted my rear master cylinder lid to match the texture on the calipers, and the rest of my recent non-chrome add-ons.

I was going to just buy a replacement cover, but the ones I can find either have a DOT 5 label, or no label at all.
I had glued my old label to the chrome lid on the front master cylinder a few years ago, and that glue failed pretty quickly, so I won’t bother doing that again.
I ended up just replacing that lid.

I definitely prefer if the labels match the fluid within, so I opted to just repaint this one.

Can I ask what paint and prep you did first? My front master cylinder needs done and it will be storing and repairing season soon up here....

I don't narrow it down to keep the media away. jk

Heading to Lampasas for a reunion with my Army brothers, and then a few more days of like I said, wherever.... will probably be back there again November for the Twisted Sisters.

Prep was straightforward; stripped it of the sight glass and the gasket, then sanded it w/180-220 grit paper.
Cleaned it w/ brake cleaner and allowed it to dry thoroughly.
Wiped it down a/ a clean microfiber and shot 2-3 coats of paint, followed by 2 coats of clear.

I used this specific paint because it is really close to the same finish as the engine cases.

Wow I. Et you are on that dealers best buddy list. Sounds like a lotta coin. I am sure the ride justifies it though.

So, it was 22 degrees this morning north of Edmonton. At least I got to disprove Rounders’ assertion that my lithium battery will not start my bike when cold. No problem whatsoever

Not the first or last time that knucklehead will be proven to be completely without knowledge on a given subject.

That's way too cold to be riding though…😉

Time for studded tires, lol. Reminds me of my first new bike. A 67 Harley 125cc, two stroke. I lived near Hebron Oh, then. Used to ride that little sucker in rain, snow and sun. Even rode two up with my older brother on the back, down a frozen creek. At least till we heard a weird noise and realized it was the ice cracking under us. Luckily we could exit the creek pretty easily, cause that was a good 5-6 ft deep. Ice and 2 wheels make for an interesting ride for sure. Never on anything that big though.

Does HD make a heated rode option? Lol.

We get it, you ride in the cold...

Don't invoke that clown into this thread. PLEASE!

Oh, to keep things on topic, I have been doing photoshoots with my bike, filming videos, and trying to expand my photography to the next level, working with companies to get exposure. My Instagram, albeit still very small, was finally made eligible for monetization. I even had Klock Werks reach out to me to start working with them.
