What did you do to your bagger today?
Thanks, yep I remember those gas caps. I haven't seen them in awhile. The crown is growing on me and it's definitely better than the stock snap ring decoration.
Three hole oil change today, with 3500 miles on the new motor. Damned if I couldn’t find an oil filter in my stock!
Anyway, installed one of those fancy oil tank plugs where you just attach a hose and it drains! Just did my last tank empty where I move CBs and other wires…

Installed my XM module, and got signed up for the 2 yr plan. Some pics, for anyone doing it themselves.
First pic, am pointing to the plate and screws that come out. Thats where the module goes. Pay CLOSE attention to those screws. The smallest torx bit I own is T-10 and those are smaller. T-8? I have no idea. I used an assortment of tolls I did have to remove and install those little buggars. I have no Idea why HD cannot do a list of tools needed for a job like that in their install instructions, or the shop manual for that matter. Anyway I digress.
Second pic
Module in place, with ant lead attached.
Third pic
XM ant sitting on the "dash" beside the groove I filed for the cord. I left the groove just slightly shallow, so the windshield will hopefully press enough to keep it all sealed.
Pic 4
Test run before buttoning it all back up. IT WORKS WOOHOO. Took this genius a bit to figure out how to get to channel zero, to find radio ID. And NO, I did not read the BOOM manual first, lol.
Last pic
My OCD is a bit miffed at myself. I aligned the antenna while eyeing it from the front of the bike, and not paying attention to the line in the dash. Well its not moving, not by my hands anyway. Got 2 bars out of three signal, sitting in my garage. Went through the whole sign up and refresh process sitting in the garage.
One note for others. When I started trying to program in my presets, it would not program the channel. Tried every trick in the book, the manual, but nothing. So I turned the bike off, waited about 30 seconds, then back on. That fixed it. Got 10 channels loaded in my presets.
Sound, just in the garage, is a lot clearer than the FM radio, and much stronger than when I have used my XM app. Very happy fellow right now. Ahh, simple pleasures.

I just found a used rear caliper and arm from a 2022 Road Glide for only $100.
It only had about 100 miles on it when it was removed.
Only 18 miles from home, too so I can avoid shipping & sales tax!
I picked up a brand new roof rack for our Jeep the other day for only $100 too (listed new for $299 & this one was never installed), and the guy even threw in some extra suspension/steering parts for free that I just sold for $40.
I love finding good deals on the stuff I need, and getting rid of the stuff I don't need.

I just received an email that the oil temp kit is now available through HD.
I may have gotten the last one, but it’s ordered!

I was finally able to get the front calipers rebuilt today. Complete aside from the chrome bleeder screws that are in transit.
I also got the upgraded rear caliper painted. I have chrome bolts for it as well as a new pivot pin. I don't think the rear has the cover on it, but I had an extra; I'll use it even though it isn't chrome
