What did you do to your bagger today?
Not so much what I did to my Glide, but what my RGL did to me... Ignore the Crocs... I am a RN and Crocs was an amazing company that gave them away to Nurses working in the early days of Covid.
On my new to me Glide... I torqued the front shifter rod and shifter bolts so I don't get a stripped shaft 3 states away like I did last month. I also put on my new shift linkage rod that I like... and did this...again... Needed some stitches last time, on the other hand. I always have superglue in my tool bag. Yeah, next time, I recommend a socket, not open end wrenches.

I never knew how much I liked Crocs until I got them... just dont EVER climb a ladder or make sudden movements...lol Nah, no stitches. But man does working that clutch make it hurt.

Here’s something that I experimented with that turned out pretty decent…
The switches on my ignition panel (SPOTS, ACC, Cruise, & SPKR)) we’re looking pretty dingy. They were turning gray and basically ugly.
I had looked into the little covers that stick on, but they look cheap & don’t fit very well.
I decided to try and clean them up.
I first used a soft brush to get rid of any dirt, then I rubbed them down w/ a few coats of WD-40.
Each time, I let them dry between coats & hit them again a couple days later.
They absorbed enough to help turn them back to black.
It may not last, but I’ll do it as a routine task if it keeps them looking good.

Found it if interested. In UK but US must have something similar. I Love when Mike goes to those little known, private shops to repair old parts.

^^^^ Love seeing old stuff get redone. Look at something as mundane as old vending machines... F****ing works of mechanical engineering !
No pics to share but I'm sure everyone has seen them before. I installed LA Choppers solid riser bushings on the 04 King Classic to better support the 16" apes. The original stock rubbers were shot after 48k miles. I also installed poly urethane riser bushings from Hill Country Customs on the 16 Street Glide Special. The original rubbers were in good shape still but poly bushings are way better IMHO. I still run the stock bars and risers on the Glide. I guess I'm whacko for actually liking the stock setup. 🤪
Sweat in the pre hurricane mugginess while installing some Tall Boys brackets and Thrashin footboards.
