Went for a nice ride to warm everything up, then drained and changed the primary oil. Now that all the fluids are new, the boys and I can give her a good wash next.

I was able to put a little time into the new calipers.
I think they cleaned up great.
I used a few coats of textured black (to match the engine case) along with a few coats of clear to help protect them.

These will get new chrome hardware & screens.
I pulled the emblems off for the repaint, but I haven't decided if they 'll go back on or if I'll use something different.

Very nice Dan! Gonna be a sweet scoot when she's back together.

Last night I went for a littler ride. I managed to slip and put the tiniest nick in the paint on the left side of the tank, about 3 inches up from the seat. No point in a pic, you can barely see it. Still, it hurt my heart. Oh well, here to the next few rock chips from riding!

UGH! Getting that first little scratch on a new car/truck/bike is the worst feeling ever. 🤢

I bought a brand new Dodge RT Charger back in 2008. The night I got it home all of the neighborhood kids (mine included) were running around it checking it out and someone managed to put a scratch right in front of the driver’s door. It was big enough that I could see it from across the yard.
I had to see that scratch every time I got in the car for 14 years.

Not that it will make you feel any better about what happened, but I managed to get a small fingerprint in one of the calipers. 🤦‍♂️

Pretty sure it won’t be noticeable once installed, but it sure chapped my ***. 😂

My body isn't without scars, and now, neither is my motorcycle. But damn it man!
