What did you do to your bagger today?
The rockers are easy you just have to make sure the cylinders are at TDC before breaking the bolts loose. Also break them loose in a crise cross pattern and each bolt the same amount of turns at a time. This is also a good time to install Rocker Lockers if you choose too. Make sure to clean all threaded holes before reinstall to avoid hydra lock. Obviously you work one cyl at a time ensuring the one you're are working on is at TDC. I'm sure you have a service manual and You Tube has good videos as well.
FSM reviewed, Youtube video reviewed. Process doesn't look that difficult, mostly tedious.
This has got to be the last add-on to the project, or it will NEVER be finished.
Lol it's a rabbit hole for sure but the work now will pay you dividends down the road. Plus your are saving hundreds if not thousands in labor costs doing it yourself. You care more about your bike than a shop would.

Just make sure to remove both spark plugs and get the rear wheel off the ground and into the highest gear for ease of rotation and fighting the compression strokes.

I thinks it’s a draw right now…😂
Still waiting on several small parts that are holding me up.
I need less idle time, as that seems to add more to the project.

LOL, never had luck with that on any vehicle!
After putting these things on I was a little disappointed that they sounded only a little louder than stock when tooling around the neighborhood, until I opened her up over half-throttle. The sudden transition to "Brrraaaap!" startled me and I thought something came loose! But I soon realized this is how it's supposed to sound, and I like it. But it's nice that they can still be mild so as not to wake everyone up early in the morning.

Today has been spent drinking beer and waiting on the trucks to bring me more parts... Correct riser bushings and rocker gaskets are now here!
Not very productive as far as the bike is concerned, but the day has not been a total waste, for I have once again displayed dominance over my liver.
I'm gonna follow this up with surprise tickets (from my awesome wife) to go with friends to the Dodgers' game.
All is good again in my little world.
LET'S GO DODGERS!

Was able to get bike out today for maybe 30 mile ride. What a difference from stock with that SDC shifter. There is zero slack in it like oem. I think also bc it's shorter it takes a tad more effort. I don't know for sure it just feels more solid so to speak.
The lack of play reminds me of a good trigger on like a nice 1911 or upgraded trigger on an AR. No take up at all.
