Yeah, I had stock 13" shocks. The bike only has 470 miles on it. I knew what I wanted so there's no point in waiting. Ohlins are amazing. These are the top tier. They are more firm but soak up the bumps so well. I was gliding over them and not feeling them. If anything, I'll decrease dampening and get them a touch more stiff. I'll have to dial them in and that takes miles.

From whFroI understand, Progressives tend to be over sprung, so you get the right spring according to them and it's harsh. Go down a spring rate and they feel great.

@NoRegerts man I still kinda regret not getting KW shield this go round. I went with LRS just to switch it up and I have no complaints at all. Really solid shield. But I still always double take at the KW
I like Klock Werks. This is just the 9" shiled. Basically stock, but with a flair. I'm 6" and the Saddlemen moves me up, but also back, so wind wasn't an issue. I also always wear FF, so wind is never an issue anyway.

Never had that issue. But yes, you can get the same bolt, just longer. Grade 8, of course.

Replace the rubber spring in the lower fairing vent door, part # 58104-05 with Mc Master Stainless Steel spring part # 1692K61. I had to file out the top hole of the spring to fit the 1/4" carriage bolt.

long 500 miles isn't it! Thankfully riding home from round rock and then round trip to my parents down south made fairly quick work of it.

I bought thrashin floorboards today. Didn't intend to necessarily but was at dealer for unrelated reason and saw them so pounced

Did you get the solid boards or the Apex boards? Inquiring minds and all that.

The first 500 wasn't bad. Took my longer because my body isn't what it was yet, but damn, that 117 can haul ***! It has scares me a couple times. Glad it has traction control lol.

yup the throttle control response imo could use a little help off the line from a tune but other than that it's pretty impressive.

I got the apex boards. I had been looking a little last night and some this morning at new boards. Kinda thought I'd go with the SDC V2 even though I liked the apex. Dealer had a set on display so I figured why not. Funnily enough I really like the look of the Kuryakyn riot but I'd rather not cheap out on boards

I have a tune and a 2 into 1 pipe already. The Fuel Moto tune helped. But the power cam of the 117 feels like turbo lag. At about 3500 or so, it kicks in and pulls hard enough to be scary fun.

The Apex boards look good. I'm anxious to hear how you like them. The Flo I have are awesome. The grip is great, keeps my feet planted. I'm wondering in the Apex will do the same.

Same as you I was uneasy about small engagement area when I’ve changed my bushings to poly, I’ve replaced bolts that came with the kit with longer ones.

Just got mine this week and they are great. Feet stay planted in the wind and more real estate.
