What did you do to your bagger today?
-Seat surgery
Because I'm convinced I had a reach seat on my bike and there aren't any used seats around locally right now I did surgery on my seat today and pulled out like 3 inches of foam from the area
that made contact with my back and forced me to sit so far forward. It's way better now and my legs are now in their normal position on the boards.
-Push button for gas door
Bike came with seized gas door lock

Not only today, but rode the RKS 5700 mile in the last 10 days and just got back. Now I need to clean and change the oil.

I’ve ordered a bunch of parts for the repair process. Being a cheap-***, I’ve scoured the interweb to find single items instead of a complete set for the grips, highway pegs, bag surrounds, etc.
I went with new, CVO-style bag lids to allow for speakers as I’ll be upgrading the factory radio while I have the fairing apart.
Inner fairing will get painted to match, and I’m having the tank shot again too, as it has a few scratches.
I’m forgoing the pinstripe on the fairing, tank, and bag lids, just a solid color match to the Pacific Blue Pearl.
This should save a bit of $$ and the risk of the pinstriping not being an exact match.
Bringing the bike back to the house soon, so I can start breaking it down.
My remaining recovery will be much less boring at least.

Finally no more red. The saddle bag latches were the last piece of the puzzle to being all smoked out on the rear.

Man I've been back and forth on the whole dyno run. I've researched all the pros and cons of a dynamic run vs using a flash tuner. I've had great success with using tuners on my other bikes. I know a dyno run is the way to go and much better having a custom map done but for $850.00 and not knowing how good the guy is running it I'm leary. Plus them having to run the bike to WOT time and time again concerns me. First off I don't ride like that and second I don't want any issues. I decided on a Power Vision 3 from FuelMoto and they load a map for my setup. The PV3 also has auto tune capability.
my chinazon leds failed (go figure) so added some HD signature led signals, they were expensive but they're super bright and look amazing! also added a Klock Werks 9" sport flare, actually did the windshield about a month ago, but today is the first picture I took of it lol

Picked up and installed a new-to-me (and pretty much new) Le Pera Kickflip Daddy Longlegs seat. It's almost too tall for me but gave me the 2" back seating position that I needed. Took it for a 100 mile ride today, not only to start breaking it in but also to commit mass slaughter on the bug population of Northern Nevada so there'll be less for everyone else to hit... you're welcome.
