I cleaned her up and ready for my 28 days wrapped up in the shop while off working in the Gulf of Mexico.

Took my bike (minus tourpak) by my local dealer to see how badly they would insult me on a trade in.
Lets just say that I’m not so anxious for a newer bike that I’m going to give mine away for the cost of recent maintenance and upgrades.

I get that they make $$ on the sale AND my bike, but DAMN!
I literally laughed in their face.

Then I came home and listed it locally to see if there’s any interest.

I really like my bike, but if I can get on a ‘14-‘16 (maybe even a ‘17!) for a fair price, this one will be replaced.

Well, so I thought... a week later the same codes started popping up. Turns out the culprit was the Amazon sequential saddlebag LEDs that I'd installed. Ordered Custom Dynamics' setup to replace the Amazon crap, got it installed. Sent the Amazon crap back today, got the refund notice today. Not sending the headlight back as it is better than the OEM and wasn't the problem. I'll find a use for it sooner or later, maybe on a Jeep as an off-road light. The Custom Dynamics saddlebag signals are installed and look good.

OK, maybe this time I've learned my lesson...

That damn Chinazon crap gets us everytime. Glad you got it sorted out finally. You can't go wrong with Custom Dynamics goods. I know most of it is still made in China, (right Morish?), but their lights are definitely higher quality somehow. I guess Chinese manufacturers charge by the quality they offer the American distributor. 😆

…added gel to my Mustang Super Touring solo seat, and added a banana pad on the front of the TourPak (just for looks), all done up fancy by Powell Precision Seats (Pueblo, CO).

You're definitely right... the Amacrap signals had two boxed modules. In one, the circuit board was correctly potted, in the other the board wasn't secured in any way - no screws, no potting, not even a dab of silicone sealant to hold the board down. The stuff from Custom Dynamics was all marked "Made in China" but is visibly better quality than the Amazon turd. I get the feeling (and I've heard it said) that the same Chinese companies that make products for companies like CD just turn around, reverse engineer the product and sell their shoddy knockoff. Wouldn't surprise me if that was right.

Pulled up to my buddies place and in the time it took for him to grab his gear, I found a drip under my bike.
Instead of riding, we addressed the leak.
(maybe)

While addressing said primary leak, it was necessary to remove the rear exhaust (true duals) because the left down pipe blocks the primary bolt on the top corner.

That became a rodeo-of-sorts, as he didn’t have all of the parts, new fluid, etc.
Off we go to get gaskets, fluid, exhaust studs, nuts, and a replacement bolt for the header support bracket that was stripped.

Anyway, back to the house we begin to assemble, finding the internal crankcase bolts were not to spec.
Likely the cause of my leak.

Anyway, getting ready to reattach the rear header and he says, why not try these…?

And he shows me a pair of True Dual Bassani slip-ons w/ their power crossover headers that came off his ‘08.

Needless to say, that was an offer that I simply couldn’t refuse.

Now I have Bassani exhaust and it sounds so much deeper than the Rinehart’s.

I like them.

I didn’t take a pic after installing the other one.

That refreshing new tire feeling. Holy smokes, I'm gonna get a slim 36mm wrench for this job next time! I do not wanna remove these Duals again.
