Wow! A 12 year old thread, well I'll chime in. Put a S&S intake manifold on my 19' FLHXS, plus changed the fuel filter, took her out for a blast of a ride, on the ride, fuel gauge went to empty, got ready to head to house to check it out, on way started working again. Tomorrow will take her out again. Oh yeah, took the yellow reflectors off the front lower legs, and put black reflector tape on instead, shine white when light hits them.

It’s an empty connector with a jumper, that tricks GTS that it has microphone connected. About $10 on fleabay

 

oh OK. Yeah I recall reading on those. Aren't they kinda buggy or did they work that out?

 

I've only had mine in place since Friday, but it worked as soon as I plugged it in, and never failed to connect since...

I found that Digi Key is your friend, I have just been ordering pieces and crimping my own stuff
