I gave the girl a quick wipe down last night and used a hydrophobic detail spray my wife brought home. It worked well. I have some stuff for the engine black too. The whole bike really needs a detail cleaning. But, tomorrow I'll be doing the 25k oil change.

Amazingly, I'm on my second set of tires (which is to be expected) but my pads are still good to go with quite a bit of life still in them. I guess long highway miles and engine braking help preserve them.

Correct, some people have cleaned them up and applied some loctite. I pick up new ones from the dealership.

No issue with the detail spray on the denim paint?

Doing a full 25k service? or just oil? I ask because I did the full steering head bearing service (grease and adjustment) at 25k and afterward I wished I had done them at 15k... Big difference. Surprised I never noticed the degradation in feel over time. Anyway, I'm at 35k now and contemplating at least doing the bearing adjustment again.

I did the bearings at 20k because I had a wobble creeping in. So the front is all new including the suspension. So this was just oil change.

That said, I did the engine, no issue. I had not done the trans and needed to so I did that. Got the drain plug cleaned up and put back in and filled with the new oil. Then I saw on the bench I forgot the new o ring. So I had to go back and get new oil again. I'll just consider it an unnecessary and expensive flush.

But oils are fresh now. That's what I did to my bagger today.

The spray is safe for denim. We have 3 denim bikes and it works well on the helmet too.

Here's the spray my wife got. It's safe for the denim.

May I ask what type of slop you felt in regards to the steering head bearing? I've done the swing test & it checked out fine but I swear when I hit the brakes quickly I feel the whole front end kinda move. But Its perfectly fine around corners & cruising.

I think what he's saying was, he never noticed it felt bad until he felt how good the adjustment was.

If you're feeling the movement, readjust the bearings. I did it and it made all the difference. No more wobble. My wobble was at excessive speeds, so you may not feel it, but it may be there.
