What did you do to your bagger today?
Thought I was going to get the RK buttoned up this weekend. Of course as soon as I torqued my primary cover down I noticed that one of the nuts that holds the clutch in place was loose. The retaining tab was the only thing keeping it from backing out. I couldn't get the nut to tighten. I think the stud that comes out from the clutch hub is just spinning. I have to take the clutch out now. My terminology is probably inaccurate on these parts but hopefully you understand. I was really hoping to get the bike together. I need to ride and the dyna is apart right now as well. Tins are at the painter. Didn't snap a pic. Just went inside and watched the niners loose. Bang bang no superbowl rang 😂

Added OEM fog lights, replaced the risers bushings (had to replace bolts in the kit, cause they seemed to short for me), still waiting on the lighted switches.

Yesterday: Nice day 50 degrees or so decided to wash the bike then do the primary case oil change. First thing that happened after putting it on a jack, getting set with rags, S100, leaf blower etc......while pulling out the old hose, it broke! Screw it, I'll wash the bike another day even if it is a mess right now. I don't have an oil filter yet so I figured i'll do the tranny and oil another day. First timer for the 3- hole change. Primary was easy, though I was surprised all the primary cover screws were finger tight. I guess I never checked those! Took my time, did it right. Easy peasy. Next week for the oil and tranny. Once that's done I'll check youtube for correct way to change Hydraulic clutch fluid.
Base coat is on, intercoat clear sprayed/wet sanded, and plastics are mounted. Time to run some tape lines now!
Easy stuff
Avon grips
New timing cover The writing around the outside says “Carry this sign with you and you won't get lost in storms or bad weather, even in unfamiliar surroundings”

Installed a grease zerk in primary where the shifter shaft goes through. Also added some Belleville washers to tighten up the rattling in the whole assembly.
Results are TBD.

I rode the **** out my bike from OC down to San Diego and back to go to a jobsite for a 30 minute review.
The PV3 tuner is arriving today, so I’ll be busy this weekend.

Managed to goober up the threads on the rear cylinder spark plug. Yes I used anti-seize and yes I used a brand new torque wrench set to 13ft lbs. I was checking the plugs after running 3 tanks of gas through after a retune. Time to learn to Time-Sert a cylinder head I guess.
