If it makes you feel any better Bafflingbs "I" feel better knowing there are many "mechanics" out there like me.
Sometimes when I think I finished a project, I stand back and inspect. THAT'S when I realize my mistakes.

I like to think I’m so meticulous. And then this happens, and poof! There goes my confidence

Been awhile since I’ve been on and I can’t seem to follow everything. Updating since retirement in June
Kept her rolling but it wasn’t easy. “The Dragon” has to wait to consume me.
Cicadas are plenty loud enough for me (and anyone else within 50 feet)
Bat wing and spots with signals.
Saddlebag, rear fascia brake/signal and rear stock signal eliminator.
. Added Rush racing pipes and promptly slid on the crossover pipe on “the dragon’s tail”. Prompting a shock upgrade to Revo 13” (highly recommend the ride and the 1.5 inch lift). Just about have the Saddleman broke in now. Added custom dynamics rear fascia brake/turn signals, turn signal eliminator, saddlebag brake/signal, front spot/signal, batwing vent spot/signal, and waiting on antennae brake/signal. Also added 6 speaker Cicada audio system and about 6,000 miles over the summer.

I know I just posted in the solo bagger thread, but that's what reminded me to post this up and see if anyone has an idea of how to possibly secure this rear seat to my Ultra.
My thoughts are that if I can get a comfortable rear pad for the few occasions that my wife does want to go I can sell the 2-up seat that she's not that fond of.
I picked this up because it is a Corbin, it says RKR on the pan, & it's got a lot more cushion than my 2-up seat does.
This made me think it was likely the mate to my solo seat which I recall says RK on the underside.
Logic told me that RKR probably meant Road King, Rear, but apparently not because the hole in the fender is closer than this seat tab will allow for.
I'm wondering if there is a known bracket/adapter plate gizmo out there that others might be aware of to assist in making this work when needed.
I'm not real keen on the idea of drilling a second mounting point in the fender just so I can sell my rarely used 2-up seat, but I would consider using a mounting plate/bracket if I could make it work.

If the mounting bracket has screws mounting it to the seat pan, you may be able to adjust it enough to fit. Be sure to use blue stuff on screws when reinstalling!
Some of the seats I have seen the bracket has been riveted on. Easy enough to drill out the rivets, relocate the bracket, you might have to drill new holes, and re-rivet in place.
The photo isn’t very good, but the nut in the fender is actually UNDER the seat, so there would be no way to secure the existing bracket to the fender if it was moved back.
Hi guys. I've been on here for a while, but usually just asking questions about customer stuff. I picked up a 2009 Electra Glide Ultra Classic on Monday and so far I've stripped the tour pack, added a license plate mount and light, cleaned and waxed it / polished chrome. I also pulled the fairing apart to fix a vibration (thought it would be a broken mount but was just missing a screw) and I'm waiting for parts tomorrow to add a Bluetooth receiver and an FM antenna behind the fairing before I button it back up. It's been a busy couple of days. I am going to get the quick release bracket and mounts for the tour pack as well as a sissy bar. I don't intend to have the TP on there regularly but will definitely use it for long road trips.
