Still 100+ in Dallas but we’re pressing with the new V111.

Saved $20 making my own bolt.

Hayden tensioner

Scorpion Clutch

This motor is fat! Had to lift rear tank mount 1/2” for more room between juggs

Remember the broken Jackshaft bolt? $1.45 at ACE, and made my own 10-32 thread shoulder bolt, 5/16 shaft. Anyway, leftside buttoned up. Should start it tomorrow AM.

Maybe I missed a prev post, but what is the V111? I am assuming a 111ci engine? Why is it taller than stock?

S&S 111ci. It’s about 3/8” shorter than the V96 it replaced. But the jugs are fatter. Had to do some thinking to make it work cleanly (plus head breathers took up space. Hoses don’t come from air cleaner mount, but from inside the ‘V’.

@barneyboy
I replaced the screws that were missing from the hold down strap brackets on the rear struts. 1/4-20x1 These are the fancy chrome because i couldn't get them in stainless. No clue why, but they only had 28, not 20.

I've been feeling a shake, knock, bump-type of feeling through the handlebars at nearly every bump in the road for the past several weeks.
I kept jiggling & wiggling the fairing, but could not find the issue as nothing appeared to be loose.
Being a reader of these fine forums, I knew the answer was probably related to a cracked or broken fairing support bracket.

To address it, I ordered the upgraded orange version, but since it's a pain in the neck to do, I've been procrastinating the swap.
I finally did it yesterday.

It sucked, and I didn't find anything that was broken, cracked, loose, etc. so I may find myself back inside the fairing soon.

Capt you are Installing some top notch components in your primary and that is a good lookin power plant. Can't wait to hear about your first shakedown ride.

Not sure if it makes a difference, but OE are flange head.

Tadaaaa! Started right up and have let it idle four times today. Was going to jump on it this PM but after throwing a leg over I noticed NO footboards!! Y’all know how long they take to install on an old frame. I’ll ride it tomorrow AM.

First great thing was the compression releases. Wow nice! Easy on the start clutch!

Hey dummy, you forgot the floorboards
