What did you do to your bagger today?
The HD service manual shows a propane device to meter the propane thru a rubber hose to leak test, but that did nothing. Let me clarify, my method of using propane did nothing. I rigged up a 1/4" rubber hose from a 1lb propane bottle. That told me the leak was not severe. I squirted starter fluid in various areas around the rear intake seal and when it hit the top portion, the engine faltered big time.
I took about a 10 mile run yesterday, and it seemed to idle fine afterwards, so I am pretty sure that was the issue. Had ai seen a nick in the seal, it would have been more telling, but at this point, I am about 95% sure it was just hardened seals.
And yes, it would have been a load of cash, for a shop to do the work. My wife's cousin that I ride with occasionally (only because we live 800 miles apart) had a friend that used to do all his work for him, for $40 am hr. Then he moved to AZ. Now he's found a new "friend". No such luck for this guy, lol.

It's 107.
I thought about thinking about riding, then I went back to my air conditioned couch and regained my senses.

This is hilarious! 😂
Professional job Gerts looking good! Any word about the parts you dropped off at the shop?
I'm still waiting on the wheels and bars. I can't wait to show you that color!
Oh ok my mistake. No wonder they look so good lol. Looking forward to seeing those wheels and bars. That's going to be badazz against the black.
I mounted a wrap around passenger backrest, to my BadDad chopped tour pack. It was extremely nerve racking, to say the least. The backrest didn’t come with a template, so I had to kind of eyeball the drill points. I guess I’ve got good eyeballs, because it came out really well.
