I hit hit a nasty break in the road while on the Interstate yesterday. Even with the set screws in my top clamp, my 12in bars slipped. Tore into the fairing and readjusted them and tightened everything back in. Should be good to go for another 10k miles before it gets loose again.
I gently stroked the gas tank and whispered an apology into the fairing, feeling sorry I left her alone for the past four days while I was out of town. Then I rode her fast and hard!
Hopped on the bike to head to a 4th of July social, and just as I took off I looked down and noticed the check engine light. Eh, wut? Went back around the block, back into the garage and looked through the codes... a bunch in both the ECM and BCM. WTF?! Then it dawned on me I forgot to clear the codes after pulling the main fuse to install the brake flasher... DOH! So cleared them and went on my merry way, all well again. But I had a bit of a moment there.
At least I know the CEL works correctly now.

replaced a faulty media compartment latch, and fresh primary fluid. surprisingly most dealerships stock the media compartment latch, mine stopped releasing Saturday. made quick work of the fluid change, as it was hot as hell in the shed, so I had a cold one to assist lol. made a bonehead mistake when I removed the derby cover, and noticed my jack needed repositioned, well, needless to say, when I lowered the bike, it made a ****ing mess on my floor

Avoided doing the things in the yard I was supposed to be doing, and finally put the fiberglass and perforated ss tubes into my empty stock-ish slip-ons. I bought the bike used, and the guy had put on some Vance and Hines double-slash down pipes. I LOVED the sound, but the pipe’s style was not my thing. I went back to the stock bombers, and had American Customs hollow them out and weld in the ring so you can put their custom baffles in. I never really liked the baffles because they sounded “phlegmy” to me. So I ordered a couple 2 foot pieces of stainless steel perforated tubing, took them down to Munro Muffler to have them swage the ends. I put in some fiberglass packing, and put the whole thing together. It has not changed the sound drastically, but it has definitely removed the “phlegm” and higher frequencies. Also adds back the ‘bark” that I missed from the V&H when you crack the throttle.

Very nice and great job on the video! I'm sure the helmet police on this site will only comment you weren't wearing one and nothing about the nice wheels.
